It's now a year since we arrived, and it has flown by. We've had a very busy year and have managed to fit quite a lot in.
We've visited Melbourne twice, Adelaide, Bowral, Port Stephens, the Blue Mountains (three times), the Hunter Valley (twice), Echuca and travelled around Sydney.
I've started running and have run in three events during the year and have also done the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb and canoed down the Murray River.
We've been to the Opera House to see a couple of shows, ventured out to the Enmore in Newtown to watch some comedy and seen the Who at the Acer Arena at Olympic Park.
I've become a fan of Sydney FC - who admittedly aren't the greatest football (soccer) team in the world, but it's fun to watch - and we've been to see a cricket test match at the MCG in Melbourne.
Foodwise, we've really pigged out and have eaten at some great restaurants, including Tetsuya's, Mezzaluna, Doyles at the Beach, Coast and many, too numerous to mention, around Crows Nest and St Leonards.
The apartment in Crows Nest has served us well and the area is great - more restaurants and cafes than you can shake a stick at and extremely convenient for work as it is only a 25 minute walk or a five minute bus ride away. It is also only 15 minutes on the train to the city, or a fairly pleasant walk of about an hour.
It's been a good year, and I'm hoping the next year will be as good, if not better.
